FFF Racing Team by ACM breaks cover 2015 GT Asia Series

25 February, 2015

FFF Racing Team by ACM is proud to reveal the start of it’s motorsport program ahead of the 2015 season. The project - a very ambitious one - started when two high-calibre companies, FFF Automobile and ACM, decided to join forces.

FFF Automobile is a global leader in the Chinese Automotive market and is managed by Fu Songyang. The other - ACM - is owned by Andrea Caldarelli. The Italian, a world-renowned racer, has successfully competed in Asia and Europe in a career that has ranged from single seaters to GT cars.

Their 2015 race program will be an exciting one. The team will race in the GT Asia Series with three brand new McLaren 650S GT3 racecars, and they will also line-up for international endurance events like the Abu Dhabi 12-Hour and the popular Sepang 12-Hour. Currently the line-up features former Formula One driver Tonio Liuzzi [ITA] alongside Hiroshi Hamaguchi [JPN], Max Wiser [ITA] and Jiang Xing [CHN], and Fu Songyang [CHN]. Also part of the team - as Team Manager will be Andrea Caldarelli [ITA].

Fu Songyang - FFF Automobile

“I’m really excited for this new adventure. Being part of the GT Asia Series is a great opportunity for our team, which is looking to be a strong contender in the coming years. It’s always been my dream to have a professional racing team, and thanks to the support of Andrea Caldarelli I think we can be stronger. Our goal is to win the GT Asia championship, but we are also looking to attend some of the world’s most important Endurance races in 2015.”

Andrea Caldarelli - ACM

“First of all, I want to thank Fu Songyang for choosing me as coordinator of this project. I’m sure that having the chance to work with a professional constructor such as McLaren GT is the best possible way to start a new racing endeavour. Thanks to McLaren GT, we can have a technical package that will see the team be highly competitive, not just in Asia but worldwide. We want to fight for the title in the GT Asia Series, but we are also looking to collect some nice silverware during the 2015 endurance winter season.”
